With Rockstar Games’ most advanced and detailed Grand Theft Auto game ever, there’s no doubt GTA VI will be full of features we have never seen before in the Grand Theft Auto series. It can be game-changing or the most basic thing ever, but as long as it’s fun, I’m up for it.

In this article, I would like to give an opinion on what gameplay mechanics or features should be added and would like to see back in GTA VI.

More Advanced Police System

A more advanced police system would make getting wanted more fun for sure, Like having a speed trap in an area. When you get caught speeding, police respond and search the area for you, or if you get caught speeding by a police officer, you can just pull over and pay the ticket or risk a police chase.

After you escape a chase, the police will still search for you based on the vehicle you are driving or your character description, and of course, the return of the six-star wanted level, bringing out the whole Leonida army after you.

They can add many small details to the police system that can make the game a lot more fun. hopefully, some of them, as I just said above, make it to the final game.

Skateboarding Mechanic

You know what bugs me about GTA V? The fact that we have a skateboarding model only to be used as an interior decoration is a big disappointment since it would be the most fitting open-world game to have a skateboard mechanic, the biggest sport ever invented in LA, California, and not adding it in. Shame on you Rockstar.

We saw a skate park in the “TikTok clip GTA VI leak”, so hey, why not add the whole skateboarding mechanic in right? Imagine in GTA VI Online a street contest between players on who can score the most points before the time runs out.

I know for sure if they add it, the first thing I’m making in the Rockstar Editor is a skateboarding video,

Car Meet Spot

Having a place where you and other NPCs have a car meetup is a neat way to make money.

Got this idea playing NFS: Unbound, why not put the same thing in GTA VI? It can be something like a side mission and a place to make easy money through bets. The winner takes all the money, and the loser leaves empty-handed; the faster or the better the driver, the bigger the bets, and of course, pink slips.

Jason looks like a great driver, this would 100% fits him to attend a car meet and make bets racing with others.

Custom Livery Maker

You know what would be a game changer for the car nerds in GTA IV? Custom livery maker.

Don’t you just get tired of all those red striped or shopping list livery? Why not let us make what we think will be the best for our cars? Sure, the online moderating side of things so people don’t roam the street in a not-so-friendly livery is hard, BUT just imagine recreating your favorite livery style in your favorite cars.

Besides the probably hard time moderating each livery, I think the positives outweigh the negatives if the Rockstar moderation team actually works and gets their crap together.

Odd Jobs

This one is an obvious one that should 100% return: odd jobs.

Other than the usual Taxi Driver or Vigilante odd jobs, having a more casual and relaxing odd job would be nice, like being a food stand vendor or community service picking up the trash and cleaning the state of Leonida, or a more illegal odd job like being a gateway driver or a drug smuggling.

The more odd the job is the better, hell let us be a janitor on a Burgershot, why not right?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Style Fist Fight

Let’s be real now: who here even likes the GTA V fist fight mechanic? I even consider it one of the worst, dodging doesn’t even feel rewarding and hitting and knocking out someone is as easy as spamming the hit button, here’s where Rockstar shines and bless us with Red Dead Redemption 2 fist fight mechanic.

Red Dead Redemption 2 fist fight mechanic is the best fist fight mechanic ever in a Rockstar Games title, not even GTA IV fist fight can compare to Red Dead Redemption 2, every hit you land always feel satisfying and heavy, dodging is hard and missing one can have a massive consequences.

Compared to GTA IV Euphoria fist fight, it doesn’t feel as floaty or heavy, I mean sure Euphoria physics are great for ragdolls and whatnot but in term of fist fight they are not the best, so it would be awesome to see RDR2 fist fighting mechanic to be in GTA VI.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Inventory System

Alright, this is more of a hot take, but I think Red Dead Redemption 2 weapon inventory should be in GTA VI, but it should be simpler and minus the lasso, of course.

Do you REALLY need all that weapon hiding up your bum? that SMG, or that Ceramic Pistol you never used? Having just two primary riffles, one secondary, and one melee plus a throwable is all you need. If you want to use some other weapon, you can maybe store it in a gun locker or pick up one from a fallen NPC and switch it.

I don’t see why this won’t work in a GTA game, I think this is way much better than the traditional way.
